The Best Selfie Stick for Travellers

I am a traveller. More specifically, a solo traveller. Do you know what this means? It means that I see a lot of really cool places around the world. It also means that I have no one to take my photo.

Pictures of places and things are really great and all, but I, like many of you, want to be IN my photos, and I’ve never been one to take a good selfie. Is there really such a thing as a ‘good selfie’? I didn’t think so.

Sure, I can ask other travellers, or locals. Let’s be honest though, in today’s world, no one likes the idea of handing over an expensive camera or phone to a complete stranger, in hopes of maybe getting a photo they like.

That isn’t blurry.

That doesn’t cut off their head.

That doesn’t include the kind stranger’s thumb.

Or that isn’t of the stranger themselves, because they didn’t know how to turn the camera around.

Now that I think about it, there’s a lot of really bad photographers out there!

Enter the BlitzWolf BW-BS3 selfie stick / mini tripod with Bluetooth remote. It quickly became my best friend, and I’ll never take another trip without it.

A lightweight, sturdy and solid device made of aluminum alloy and rubber, this little powerhouse weighs less than half a pound, and is about the length of a standard water bottle.

That means I can toss it into my bag before heading out for a day of sightseeing, with no worry of bulky equipment weighing me down. Considering I like to travel light, this is a big plus!

With a slight matte finish on the handle providing a good grip, and a selfie stick that extends to a length just shy of two feet, gone are my days of close up forehead photos, as hilarious as they may have been.

In addition, the universal phone clamp can hold most 3.5” – 6” devices safely and securely. The clamp also swivels in almost any direction, allowing users to easily take landscape or portrait photos.

The phone clamp itself is comprised of a non-slip rubber, cradling devices securely, so there is no risk of phones slipping out, or being damaged by the clamp.

This little travel gadget is GREAT because it’s compatible with most Android and iOS devices. To me, that means it’s very versatile, and a great solution for every selfie and photo enthusiast.

As a mini tripod, this selfie stick is very easy to set up. The feet of the base have rubber soles, for extra stability, which definitely comes in handy on uneven surfaces.

Think about those cobblestone streets in Europe, or the summit of a volcano in Guatemala. I’ve used it for both, and every scenario in between, and have zero complaints!

Turning the device on and off is as simple as pressing and holding the button on the remote until the blue light flashes. With no extra app or software required, this travel tripod will automatically connect to Bluetooth enabled devices, once powered up.

Good thing too, because I’m not the most tech-savvy person out there. And that’s putting it lightly.

The remote can easily be detached from the selfie stick. Its compact size means it can be hidden in your hand, allowing you to take as many photos as you like, without making it obvious that you are taking your own photo.

With a 65mAh rechargeable battery, users can expect to take up to 50,000 photos between charges. Charging is done via mini USB, and takes about an hour to go from zero to full power.

With an impressive battery life of up to three months on standby, I felt entirely confident relying on this device while on the go, and it never let me down once.

This selfie stick / mini tripod has changed the way I create travel memories. Now, when I return from a trip, I have hundreds of beautiful photos showcasing my engagement with beautiful scenery around the world, not just a photo album full of awkward selfies.

I highly recommend this selfie stick to anyone interested in capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

Yes, I never leave my hostel without it when I travel. Even when I’m home, it’s usually in my bag as well. I like that it’s lightweight, and folds down to the length of a standard water bottle. Thanks for reading, Mark! 🙂
